The book interior is in good shape. The pages are yellowed but in good shape. The cover was loose and has been taped at the binding back. The book itself is a veritable store house of White House information. One of the old time owners compressed flowers between a few pages and, although they are there, they have separated as can be seen in one of the pictures. This is the third printing and is written by Hugo Zieman (White House Steward) and Mrs. F. L. Gillette. It is large type for easy reading.

Page iv – Note from the Publisher (last paragraph) — Convenience has been studied in the make-up of the book. The type is large and plain; it is sewed by patent flexible process, so that when opened it will not close of itself, and it is bound in enameled cloth adapted for use in the kitchen.
